WATER

FORMS OF WATER: Estados del agua
SOLID: Sólido
LIQUID: Líquido
GAS: Gaseoso

WATER VAPOUR: Vapor de agua-  IS A GAS: Es un gas, es gaseoso.
ICE: Hielo- IS A SOLID: Es un sólido.
WATER: Agua- IS A LIQUID: Es un líquido.

THE WATER CYCLE: El ciclo del agua

EVAPORATION: Evaporación.
PRECIPITATION: Precipitación.
COLLECTION: Recolección.
CONDENSATION: Condensación.

When it is hot, water from the sea EVAPORATES:
Cuando hace calor, el agua del mar se EVAPORA.

The water vapour CONDENSES into tiny drops. And forms clouds:
El vapour de agua se CONDENSA en pequeñas gotas.

When the clouds are cold, it rains or snows:
Cuando las nubes se enfrían, llueve o nieva.

The rain or snow falls into the sea:
 La lluvia o nieve cae al mar.

This is the water cycle:

The Earth is covered with water and land:

We can find water in many different places in nature. Most of the water is salty:

SEA: Mar.
LAKE: Lago.
GROUNDWATER: Agua subterránea.
RIVER: Río.
WATERFALL: Cascada.

THE LAND ON THE EARTH CAN BE SOIL, SAND OR ROCK:
La tierra en La Tierra puede ser tierra- abono, arena o roca.

THE WATER IN THE SEAS AND OCEANS IS SALTWATER:
El agua del mar y océanos es agua salada.
THE WATER IN RIVERS, LAKES AND STREAMS IS FRESHWATER:
El agua de los ríos, lagos y riachuelos es agua fresca, dulce.

AIR

AIR IS A MIXTURE OF GASES. WE CANNOT SEE AIR BUT IT IS ALL AROUND US.PEOPLE AND ANIMALS BREATHE OXYGEN FROM THE AIR. ALL LIVING THINGS NEED AIR TO LIVE:

El AIRE es una mezcla de gases. No lo podemos ver pero está alrededor nuestro. La gente y los animales respiran oxígeno del aire. Todos los seres vivos necesitan aire para vivir.

Reptiles: reptiles
Fish: peces
Insects: insectos
Amphibians: anfibios
Reptiles, fish, birds, mammals and amphibians are VERTEBRATES.
(They have skeleton):
Reptiles, peces, aves, mamíferos y anfibios  son VERTEBRADOS.
Insects are INVERTEBRATES:
Los insectos son INVERTEBRADOS.

REPTILES
Are vertebrate animals.
Reptiles have scales and some reptiles have a shell.
Reptiles lay eggs.
Reptiles breathe with their lungs.

AMPHIBIANS
Live in water and on land.
Amphibians lay eggs in the water.
Are vertebrates.
Frogs, salamanders and toads are amphibians.

LIFE CYCLE OF A FROG
Tiny eggs- small tadpole- tadpole with back legs- tadpole with back and front legs-FROG…

Frogs lay eggs in the water. Tadpoles come out of the eggs.
Back legs grow, then front legs grow and the tail disappears.

INSECTS
Are invertebrates.
They don´t have skeleton.
Insects have three body parts: Head, thorax and abdomen.



They have six legs, two antennaes.
Some have two wings.

Insects are small.

Butterfly, a cockroach, a mosquito and ladybird are INSECTS.
INVERTEBRATES

They are not insects.
They don’t have six legs.
